Peas N Pears
Trevor Duffy's Peas 'n Pears is an interactive parlor routine, combining a pack of peas, a can of cards and a coincidence that goes comically pear-shaped!
Based on an effect called Pineapple Surprise by Sean Taylor but with an added twist!
The magician explains that he is fascinated by coincidences and tonight he is going to attempt to see if he can help make one happen but in the fairest of ways possible!
The magician then shows a pack of cards containing 52 different cards, however printed on the backs are 52 different kinds of foods, from vegetables to fruits to meats . He also explains that he has in a bag a type of food which is left on display in front of the audience
The magician has a spectator name any card (this is a genuine FREE choice). The magician fairly removes the card form the pack, hands it to the spectator who turns it over to reveal the food printed on the back
PEARS
The magician removes the item form the bag in full view showing a tin of peas…..
This is wrong and the magician is seen to have failed. However the magician now opens the tin and shows that indeed PEARS are inside the tin!
